Bus Company - Point of change in my life
I owe it to my friend Adrian (photographer), for exposing me to Bus Company's music.
Seeing Darren Ashley perform at capsquare (Dang Wangi), I was hooked. Then I met their friendly Lead vocalist Samuel Oh who performed at Laundry (The Curve), he was awesome and yet humble. Mad guitar skills I should say.
Watchin them perform live made me extremely depressed. Not because they were bad; they were awesome. I just realized that I wasn't nearlyas close to being as good as them. It made me realize I had to do somethin with my music. I was outdated. Dead sounding.
After I broke up it with my ex of whom i still miss so much, I found that I had much more time to improve on my music skills. So now I am currently learning both guitar and keyboard and producing my own songs at the same time.
I started to study all genres of music. My fav is still rock. This was when listenin to music became a chore and no longer enjoyable.
Well, the hardwork is starting to pay off. Recently i just signed up on myspace to post my newly recorded demos which are a far cry from the music I have been doin in the past. And I'm glad I was exposed to such a band like bus company.
My fav member of bus company -Sam. lol. Sounds a lil faggy huh.
I'll keep on improving and I promise to work my hardest to produce good music (by hardest I mean skipping psych lectures :) ).
